Mike Richards is a retired Detective Chief Inspector in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary who has since qualified as a Redcoat and Cathedral Guide (and now helps to train new guides). This presentation explores the reasons why people have been executed in Exeter from the 13th to 20th centuries, it shows where they were executed and the methods used. It also details some particularly notable individual executions.
