Wonderful Windows Competition
Welcome to St Nicholas Priory – Exeter’s oldest building! As we are not yet able to welcome you to the Priory in person, we have come up with some activities to get you and your families inspired. There are four to choose from – you are welcome to pick just one, or you could do all four if you wish!
You can download and print the activities by clicking below. Once completed, we would love to see your work! Please scan it and send back to us at buildings@nicholaspriory.com or post to us at 21 the Mint, Exeter, EX4 3BL. Alternatively, you could post your electronic entries on Instagram, making sure you tag us (@nixpriory) and use the hashtag: #StNixKids

Wonderful Windows Competition
In the windows to the right of the fireplace in the Great Hall are two round panels of stained glass. One shows the coat of arms of Battle Abbey, the other shows the coat of arms of Henry VIII. On the left of the fireplace, only one of the circles has been filled with stained glass; the other one has been left empty – and no one seems to know why…
We would like to invite you to come up with your own design for this window in 2021.
What would you like to see in the round window? It could be a beautiful view, a hot air balloon, a space ship, clouds, a leaf fluttering past, a kite, some juggling balls, Orion’s belt, or a person you admire. Be as creative as you like! Or if you prefer to use words, you could even write a short poem or rhyme.
All entries will be displayed in an online exhibition and, when our doors open again, we will put on a live exhibition displaying all entries we receive. We will also choose a design to be made up and displayed in the Great Hall this summer. So over to you – we would love to see what you can do!
